So I finally made it back in to work today. It was kind of rough after not having been to work in over a week, but I survived it. I actually started getting a headache midway through the day, and daringly took an ibuprofen. It didn't kill me or make my hives worse, so I'm thinking that's a sign that if I'm allergic to something, it's not that.

I had to make sure to walk down to the library, since I had a book that was a week overdue. While I was walking down, I noticed that there were a lot of people, most of them young, and some sort of to-do in front of the capital. I didn't actually figure out what was going on until I was on my way back. Oh yeah, duh. 4/20. I stopped at the salad place for lunch, and everyone started asking me if I was enjoying the festivities because I was wearing a green shirt. Bleh. I don't smoke pot to begin with, and I didn't realize what day it was when I went in this morning. I was just wearing a green shirt because it was the loosest, softest one I had, so it didn't make my arms itch worse than they already did.

I felt pretty drained by the end of the day, but instead of going home I hitched a ride with Reed to the Skepticamp organization meeting. I actually perked up a lot once we got there, which was kind of odd, and other than being tired I'm feeling pretty good now. Only mildly itchy. I'm in charge of scheduling for Skepticamp still, along with Micah. So that'll be fun.

Tomorrow I have to go by Kaiser before I head to work. My doctor referred my case to the allergy department, and they've ordered some labs for me. So that's fun. I guess. Hopefully I'll have more energy tomorrow. I really just want to be able to start running again.

It's a pothead thing in the US: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/420_%28cannabis_culture%29

4/20 is a HUGE deal up in Boulder, at the university. Every April 20th there's a massive number of students smoking it up on the quad in front of Norlin library. I think there was a huge to-do downtown this year because medical marijuana has been sort of legalized, at least in Denver. Which really just means that all the potheads just have to cough up $50 and a vaguely convincing story about how they have some kind of chronic back pain or something.
