The hives are still spreading to where they were on Saturday. I went to see my GP this morning since I'm finding it very worrying that benadryl doesn't seem to be doing squat. There wasn't a whole lot that she could do, though. No one has any idea why I've got the itchies still, and at this point it seems like all I can really do is take my prednisone and hope that it goes away. If it lingers too long I should probably go get a skin test done so they can see what I might be allergic to. Though the doctor also said, considering this showed up after I'd been ill for several days, that it might actually be directly related to whatever virus I had. So again, it could be anything and I just have to wait for the steroids to work their magic.

The very annoying thing is that I'm pretty much stuck at home. The medication is making me both loopy and incredibly sleepy, plus I itch, plus I just generally look awful because I'm covered in hives. This is not a recipe for a productive work day.

I think I am going to try to take a walk today. I don't have the energy or coordination to do even a patheta-run, but a walk is better than nothing and will get me out of the damn house. I wish I could use this time to maybe get some writing done or something, but I can't seem to string words together all that well at the moment.

It's a long shot, but have you switched lotions or laundry detergent lately? or taken antibiotics? The two times in my life I had hives was when I had a new lotion or laundry detergent that had particulars I didn't suffer well in them. Also once when after a pneumonia I took a new kind of antibiotics and got well, but also covered in hives for a while.
